Things turned up alright, and I'm going to the con! Huzzah!

*dances around then suddenly slouches*

Ugh... too tired to celebrate... need meds... *clutches jaw and limps off*

I hate how someone or something can put a chink in your chain and completely screw up all plans that you had previously made, leaving you crumbled in a ball on the side of the road with your own bicycle flopped on top of you.

Like my analogies? Yeah, it's a result of the pain medication I'm taking after getting my wisdom teeth removed yesterday. So, if I say something that leaves you "... the fuck?", that's the reason why.

But yeah, I got all four wisdom teeth pulled yesterday. My left side of my jaw had been hurting me for a couple weeks, so I finally made an appointment to get them yanked out. The surgery went better than expected, and I got a good bit of money back because of it. Well, technically, Nanny got the money back, since she was the one who paid for it. And now, I've got a throbbing pain in my jaw, which I don't even want to think about how badly it would hurt if I didn't have any pain killers to help it, and I'm walking about all stupid and slow because of it. Hopefully the pain will be gone in a week or two. I'll definitely be looking forward to that.

I would have got them pulled earlier, but there was a bit of difficulty with work of trying to schedule a couple days off so I can get the surgery and have time to recover from it. Originally, I had was scheduled for this past Thursday, the 13th, to get it done, but no one could fill in for me at work and blah blah. Eventually I got over the whole "I'm in pain and want to get the surgery over with, damnit" issue and got it changed.

... 'Cept the issue with getting my wisdom teeth pulled had made me forget just how close Anime Weekend Atlanta was, and when I did realize it, I had ended up putting my request to be off that day in too late.

Now, I'm having to check back at work and go to different co-workers and ask them if they want to work for me this coming up Saturday. My scheduling manager and I have considered all the different people who can take my place, but most of them are busy that day, or are already working, whether it be at Food World, or at their other jobs.

So, after all the trouble I've had to go through, the only person who could possibly take my place is Michael, and he already scheduled the weekend off so he can spend time with his girlfriend for their six month anniversary... which is cool, and I totally understand that. He says that if he's not doing anything during the time that I am scheduled to work Saturday (10am-3pm), he'll work for me. He also said that he'd give me a call when he got off work tonight to tell me if he'll work Saturday or not... and he got off work at 8:30 tonight, and still no phone call.

*sighs*

I just think I have the worst luck ever. I want to go to the damn con, and there ends up being so many different incidents and road blocks in my way that it's driving me up a wall. Not only do I not know when or if I'll be able to go the con, I have 3-4 other people counting on me for a ride to and from Atlanta, and I'll be damned if I let them down. I mean, I can always go to the con after I get off work, but that'll mean I won't get there till 6 (Eastern time), and I'll only be there for about 6-7 hours before having to go back home. If that's what I have to do, it won't be a complete waste of time, but still... I wanted to spend some monies at the dealer's room, and I wanted to dress up in my Slytherin uniform, which if I don't leave till after work, it won't be worth it to wear it.

And now, Heather (my gf for those of you who suck at remembering names) has just found out that she has to work on Saturday as well, even though she has already scheduled the day off a month in advance. I was praying that she would get it off and take said friends up there, then I get off work and go to Atlanta, and have a lil fun then. It wouldn't be too terribly bad if Heather got off and could take them, because it'll be the first time I've gotten to go to a con and have a small bunch of my friends there with me. And now, I just don't know...

So, all I can do now is wait for Heather to call me after she gets off work, so I can know whether or not she got the day off, and continue to wait for Michael's call, and if he ends up not calling tonight, then I'll go up to Food World tomorrow before he comes in (at 3:30) to see if I can work for him tomorrow or not. Oh, I didn't mention it, but he's already working five days, and the scheduling manager won't let him work six days, so I'll have to trade days with him if I want to be off Saturday, whether I'm in pain or not.

Ugh, I need a better job. Or rather, a higher paying one. I like Food Work too much to just up and leave. Need more monies to help pay for bills... ugh... =_=
